Salman Khan’s alcoholism in making of Veer

Salman Khan’s alcoholism caused the makers of Veer a whopping Rs. 60 lakhs of Rupees. No it wasn’t the bill of his alcohol drinking on the sets mind you! Read on to know why it cost a bomb for them.
An unit source revealed, “During the entire making of Veer had Salman indulged in less alcohol, partied less and slept on time it would save his producers many lakhs of rupees. Believe it or not the producer of the film ended up spending around Rs. 60 lakh to only digitally improve his look. And digitally improving the look in the case of this handsome hero implies erasing the bags under his eyes and reducing the puffiness of his face, both results of his drinking binges and late nights. As if the alcoholic binges of the hero affecting the shift timing and shooting the following day and the consequent financial losses weren’t bad enough for the producer comes this huge expenditure on DI work.”

Asin says no to Shahrukh Khan

It’s dream of every newcomer to star opposite the Baadshah of Bollywood SRK,but Asin begs to differ because she has turned down an offer to work opposite SRK.

Asin who has worked with Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Salman Khan in London Dreams and couldn’t work with SRK because of date hassles.

A source says, “Ever since Asin appeared on Farah’s show Tere Mere Beach Mein, they have been in touch. When Farah offered her the role, initially Asin was quite excited. It is not known why she refused Farah’s film.”

She conveyed that the dates which Farah needed would be clashing with her other assignments.”

Now that’s a very strong decision, I wonder how she could say no to SRK. Well lets see if her decision transforms into her loss or into gain.

I touched MJ: Farah Khan

I reached San Fransico this morning and radio stations and TV channels here are going mad. They are all playing Jackson specials, tribute and everyone is talking about it. It was so sudden that everyone is in a state of shock. Infact he was going to have his live shows after a long gap and everyone was looking forward to that. But all that won’t happen now. The feeling is yet to sink in; I am myself in a state of shock. He was my reason I chose my career- choreography. He was the one who made me feel so passionate about dance. For me, it all started with him. Since childhood I have always been obsessed with him. I never had any formal training in dance, it was only his videos that taught me and inspired me to do better.

I still have my college pictures where I am dressed like him, such was my obsession. I have always told my near ones that my ultimate dream would be to choreograph Michael Jackson. I always had this hope that once it will happen, but with this news my ultimate dream stands shattered.

I am grateful to God that I could meet him once in my lifetime. I clearly remember that meeting at an awards night in New York. I went over to him, touched him, spoke to him and even clicked a picture with him. He asked me my name, my profession. It was a surreal experience. I was shivering throughout the night. I will always cherish that picture.(As told to Kalpana Sharma) source: Times of India

Mallika Sherawat- Marriage Failure, Career Successful

Mallika Sherawat is thought to be a youth icon in the Indian film industry. She has incredible recognition so far as her looks are anxious. They are especially in the pictures for decorative purposes- to draw in young folk who form the main element of cinema-goers.

Mallika Sherawat hails from Rohtak, India. She was an air-hostess at first. Many folks don’t know that she was married to a pilot but the wedding failed to work out and they separated. Mallika Sherawat then tried her hand in show business and she achieved overnite success with her film Murder. Her success is principally attributed to her bold scenes which are not customarily seen in Indian flicks.

After some of her 1st pictures the majority of the films have proved to be below average. Even her much debated film ‘Myth’ with Jacky Chan has fallen flat. If Mallika has to remain in the flick industry she is going to have to give quality to theatre. For Mallika Sherawat success and cash comes simply that may be a dream for many folks. This is perhaps the explanation why her folks who were against her mutinous perspective per her show of skin, later reconciled with her and are allegedly living alongside her. Mallika Sherawat’s success has began a new age in Indian film industry. Actors who used to shy from showing their skin have now shed their hesitation and now contesting with Mallika Sherawat. Celina Jaitly, Neha Dhupia, Esha Deol and plenty more like them are examples of such actors who have adopted the formula of Mallika Sherawat to make it to the top in Bollywood. Many folks feel that Mallika Sherawat is conceited and egotist. She adores to discuss herself and her success. According to her, 1/2 the Indian population is insane about her. While in an interview, she even challenged a senior newscaster of a reputed reports channel that he likes her. Mallika possibly has a particularly physical point of view of the people in general and that is how she has learned to exploit the wishes of sexually deprived Indian men. Mallika Sherawat has made name and money really easily…

( comparatively ) just with her hot looks. Not everyone is gifted with this sort of an interesting body. Fast success is something which is troublesome to gain and even harder to maintain. Let’s see in future how she manages to continue to be a successful star of Bollywood.

Introduction To Indian Classical Music 101

The system of Indian classical music known as Raga Sangeet can be traced back almost 2k years to its origin in the Vedic hymns of the Hindu churches.

The music is rendered orally to the disciple by his guru, popularly known as guru-shishya ( teacher-student ) parampara ( practice ). The heart of Indian music is the raga, the melodic form on that the artist improvises his performance. A raga is a scientific, accurate, subtle and classy melodic form with its own rising and descending movement composed of either a full seven-note octave or a sequence of 6 or 5 notes. Each raga is identified by its own particular mood. The recognized order of these 9 sentiments, or feelings, is like this : romantic and erotic, funny, pathetic, fury, brave, fearful, disgust, awe and calm. Each raga, as well as being related to a selected mood, is also closely hooked up to a specific time of day or a season of the year. Therefore thru the wealthy tunes and rhythm of Indian music, each human emotion, each delicate feeling in man and nature, can be musically voiced and experienced. Re aesthetics, a raga is the projection of the artist’s inner spirit : a manifestation of his most extreme feelings and sensibilities.

The musician breathes life into each raga as he unfolds and expands it so that each note glistens and palpitates with life and the raga is disclosed colourful and incandescent with beauty.

The tala, or rhythmical cycle of a raga, plays a similarly significant role in expressing the mood. There’s a unique relationship between tune and rhythm. The subtleties outline the complexities and class with which they are woven together. The division in a taal and the strain on the 1st beat, called sum, are the most significant feature. The most enthralling moment for a seasoned listener is when both the musicians, after their individual improvisations, come back together on the sum. Today, Indian classical music is an abiding part of Western culture. Many composers and musicians have been influenced by our music.

Indian music is an example of the highest forms of music existing and nourished thru its rich cultural heritage.

Its worth a watch, but simply a tiny hard to follow without having an Indian there to clarify some portions regardless of the subtitles – its because of the historical parts. Kal Ho Na Ho – This was a remake of an old Indian flick. I haven’t any concept the way to describe this one, I’m able to just say its a good flick. Woh Lamhe – Not lots of folks settled abroad know of this film, but it is an example of my private favorites. The tale line is great and the ideas just overwhelming. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan

A marriage between manglik and non-manglik is said to be destined for hard times and ultimately the possible death of the spouse. A celebrity example of kundli matching and belief is the marriage of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. It was determined that Aishwarya was manglik and for this reason their kundli charts did not fit well. However to satisfy both their love and the jyoshi's (astrologers) a marriage ceremony was performed between Aishwarya and a tree. It was said that the tree would absorb Aishwarya's manglik fire, a sacrifice if you will.

It is a good sign of times that Bollywood is getting experimental and taking on fresh subjects like we saw in Iqbal, Dor, Bheja Fry, Page 3, Taare Zameen Par and Mumbai Meri Jaan. Wish we could have seen a lot of such things more often.
